Mud Kitchen

Mud Kitchen

I am sure many of you have seen mud kitchens all over Pinterest and although I did not reinvent them, we really wanted to make our own and put a different spin on it for our family. From my experience as a parent, there is just something about dirt and water that keeps kids entertained for hours. Although it is definitely MESSY, isn’t that what childhood and summer days are for?!? When we moved into our house, we had a bunch of extra wood and pallets that were just sitting in a pile in our backyard. Rather than just looking at this mess, I went on Pinterest and found so many different uses for pallets, including mud kitchens. Thankfully my husband was on board and put his handy skills to the test. He completely built this mud kitchen by himself with a few of my ideas. I mostly just watched the kids! The best part, we only spent about $15 for the accessories from the dollar store. Most of it was filled with things we already had or were planning on getting rid of from the move. So it was a win win! Hope this post inspires you to create your own type of mud kitchen!
