This fun little science activity is a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your little ones. It requires a little bit of prep before you start, but it’s worth it to see your child’s face light up.
supplies
- 2 cups baking soda
- water
- food coloring
- heart mold
- vinegar
- liquid dropper
- tray or plate
Directions
- Put baking soda in a bowl and slowly add water until a thick consistency. Wisk together.
- Add a few drops of red or pink food coloring.
- Pour into a mold
- Place in freezer overnight.
- Pop out of mold.
- Give your child vinegar and a liquid dropper to make it fizz.
