Sensory Surprise :: Fall Edition

Sensory Surprise :: Fall Edition

The Fall season is here and even the younger toddlers like to celebrate and learn all about the season. I recently made a Fall Sensory Bin for my older kids and figured my soon to be 2 year old would be interested in joining in on the fun. I was right, he enjoyed every moment of the dried corn, but he was having trouble keeping it in the large plastic bin. If you have this activity outside then it is perfect with very little clean up, but we had ours inside due to the rain and I quickly realized he was not ready for this type of activity. I didn’t mind sweeping up the mess every once and a while, but he was dropping the corn on the floor the whole time. So Sensory Surprise it is!! I have created several of these for the younger kids with different themes so I figured why not try a Fall theme?!? All you need is an old puff container and some fall items that are appropriate for younger toddlers. Every kid is different so if your child still puts things in his/her mouth then you might need to change up the items I am suggesting below. You could use puzzle pieces and wooden animals that are fall themed.
