Post It Math Activity

Post It Math Activity

This post it math activity is great for preschoolers through young elementary age. It is a simple set up and my kids really enjoyed it. I wish I could take credit for coming up with this activity, but I found it from Busy Toddler and her post can be found here. I used the addition activity for my 5 year old and the counting one for my 4 year old. Although both of them tried each one. It is fun to see the look on their faces when they get something right and it really helps build their confidence in math.

Supplies

  • roll of paper
  • post its
  • marker
  • scissors
  • painters tape

Instructions

Tape a long piece of paper to the wall using painters tape so you don’t ruin your paint. Then write out simple math equations (you can make them more difficult as your child gets older) on the post its and the answers on the piece of paper taped to the wall. For the younger kids I just drew dots they could count with the answers on the post its.
