Usborne Book Favorites

I have now been an Usborne Book consultant for a little over two years, but haven’t done anything with it in a while. I have since rejoined the company and want to share all of our favorite books we have collected over the years. Usborne is truly an amazing company with beautiful and educational books. Their books are like no other books I have ever seen and I can’t wait to share the videos I made to show you which books we have and why we love them so much.

Babies

Black + White Library

We love these little books so much, they are really small and easy to bring with you on the go. My older daughters loved to read this to their baby brother when he was first born. Makes a perfect baby shower gift.

First Focus Series

This On the Farm book is one of my favorites. The book opens up, which makes it perfect for tummy time. The contrasting colors really draws the baby’s attention. There is also a 123, Counting book as well. Also makes a great gift.

That’s not my… Series

This is a baby touch and feel book, although my toddler and preschooler still love these books as well. There are so many different types of animals and objects in this series and it’s fun to collect them!

Mini-Treasuries Series

We LOVE these little mini books. They are the perfect size for those tiny hands. They come in one larger book, which makes it perfect to match up the pictures when putting everything away. It’s a great way to teach your baby their words, animals, numbers, etc.

My First Words Series

This is a great picture book that is perfect to teach your baby their first words. The pages are thicker so they don’t rip.

Stroller Book Series

These little books are great to attach to your stroller, highchair, or car seat. This book is perfect while on the go since you can attach it wherever you want.

Slide and See Series

This interactive series is great for young babies learning about cause and affect. They can slide the images to reveal what is underneath.

Touch and Feel Series

This series is an amazing first touch and feel book for babies. It is durable and has beautiful pictures with many different themes to choose from.

Interactive Books

Shine-a-Light Series

This series is our top favorite and we own so many different ones. It is super interactive and educational. The kids get to shine a light at the back of the page and see what it reveals underneath. This is an amazing gift that I usually pair with this flashlight.

Muddle and Match Series

This series is super fun and silly. Each person and animal is broken into three parts, the head, body, and legs which you can interchange with other people/animals. Makes a great gift!

All Better

We LOVE this book! It has reusable bandage stickers the kids can put on each animal in the story. It’s a great way to teach little toddlers empathy. You can pair it with the Pure Haven BooBoo Stick and a package of band aids to make a great gift. Also check out Little Bear Needs Glasses and Time to Brush for similar books.

Lift-the-Flap Very First Questions and Answers Series

This series is great for 2.5 years + and a great way to introduce them to many different topics while using flaps to keep them engaged.

Lift-the-Flap First Math Book

I got this mostly because my husband is a High School Math Teacher, but it is a perfect introduction to math. The flaps keep the kids engaged and as they get older they can use the flaps to check if their answers are correct. Check out the whole series here.

Peek Inside Series

This is another lift the flap series geared towards 3+. It dives a little deeper into different topics many kids ask about.

Peek Inside a Fairy Tale Series

My girls love these books because they are the fairy tales they love with beautiful pictures. They have flaps and cut outs.

Look Inside Series

This is a lift the flap series geared towards 5+ that goes into more detail about the topics and has even more flaps with more reading. Super educational and engaging.

See Inside Series

This series is geared towards 7+ and gives an in depth view of topics such as Atoms, germs, bidges, oceans, and so much more.

Advanced Lift-the-Flap Series

This series is geared towards 6+ and is very similar to the See Inside series with diving deeper into topics such as biology, computers, construction, engineering, and much more.

Activity books

Wipe-Clean Series

There are several different themes within this wipe clean series and it is great to teach kids how to write and trace. These are geared towards ages 3+ and can be great on a long road trip. I use Pure Haven Master Blaster to get out any ink they get on their clothes. All of the books come with a dry erase pen.

Wipe-Clean Card Series

These wipe clean cards are small and perfect to bring on a long car ride. It’s perfect to trace the letters and there are two other themes in this series.

Wipe-Clean Activity Pack

This pack is basically the same as the larger wipe clean books, but smaller and fits inside a little carrying case. Which makes it perfect to travel and makes a great gift.

Activity Card Series

These activity cards are dry erase and geared toward ages 6+. They are perfect for a long car ride or even a plane ride (someday when we can do things like that again). They have 50 different cards with all kinds of activities to keep kids busy and creative.

First Sticker Book Series

These sticker books are great for ages 3+ and has many different themes to choose from. They have many different colorful scenes that will keep your toddler engaged. The Little Sticker Book Series has reusable stickers for many hours of play.

1001 Things to Spot Series

This series is perfect for children 4+ and helps with identification, matching, etc. There are several different sticker books included in this series as well.

Build Your Own Sticker Book Series

This series is for ages 6+ and lets your child use their imagination. There are several different themes to choose from.

Fingerprint Activity Book Series

This is geared towards ages 5/6+. I have two different ones and haven’t used it with my kids yet because they were too young, but I think my 5 year old will be really into this now. They use an ink pad to follow patterns in the book and they can be as creative as they want. This makes a great gift!

Fold & Fly Series

This series is filled with build your own paper airplanes. The colorful images let your child tear them out and it shows them how to fold their own airplanes. This is great for ages 6+.

Other Favorites

Nibbles

There are several different stories within the Nibbles category, but the book I shared in the video is the book geared towards ages 5+, although my 3 year old LOVES it too! It can get a little long for those younger readers because it has three stories within it. Nibbles is a book monster that eats his way through other books and there are flaps for the kids to lift.

Ted and Friends

Ted and Friends is a book full of 11 different phonics stories that is a perfect way to teach your preschooler/kindergartner to read. They have an entire phonics readers collection of the books in case you want to buy them separately.

Pull Back Book Series

This Busy Car book is one of our favorite books we own. It comes with a little car you pull back and it rides around a track on different pages. It has a cute story you read while the car moves.

There are so many Usborne Books I never even talked about, they have a wide variety of different fiction and non-fiction books from babies all the way to teenagers. Please visit my Usborne site if you are interested in purchasing anything or feel free to contact me with any questions you might have! Keep those kids reading!
