Every morning I make a smoothie, whether it is to replace breakfast or is an add on for extra nutrition. When I was breastfeeding my oldest, I read a lot about what kinds of foods help to increases or help to sustain your milk supply. Oats and flax seed are amazing for your milk supply, which is why I add it to every smoothie I make. Not only is it great for breastfeeding mamas, it is amazing for the whole family due to the added fiber.
Both of my daughters really love this smoothie and it’s a great way to get them to eat spinach since they don’t really like to eat it raw or sauteed (not yet anyway).
This recipe is easy and I usually use frozen fruit, especially when berries are not in season. Side note; slice and freeze the banana a head of time to add creaminess to the smoothie.
