As the colder weather sets in so do the germs that make us all sick. I was always a person who took the vitamin C packets whenever I could feel myself getting sick, but when I got pregnant for the first time my doctor advised me to stay away from those. Since I have either been pregnant or nursing over the past three years, I have continued to stay away from them. I needed to find a new drink or in this case, a shot, to help prevent sickness and boost my immune system.
The original recipe can be found here. I do not use the Manuka honey since it is really expensive and we normally just have local honey on hand.
