Holiday Gift Guide

The Holidays are officially upon us and it is time to start buy gifts for the little ones in our lives. I recently posted Usborne Book and Toy pairing ideas you can find here if you are interested in giving books as well as toys. The gift guide below is broken down into three separate categories, babies 0-12 months, toddlers 1-3 years, and preschoolers 3-6 years. I included most of the toys we already own and love so I know first hand how great they are. There is also a video below with some of our favorites that way you can see what the toys actually look like in person.

All of the suggestions are open ended toys that will grow with your family. I did not include toys with batteries (except for the crane take a part toy has a battery powered drill) because those types of toys don’t hold a child’s attention the same way as an open ended toy, which allows them to use their own imagination. Battery powered toys tend to do most of the work and they are less likely to grow with the child. I absolutely love to see how my kids will play differently with their toys as they grow, it is an amazing thing to see their imaginations change over the years.
