DIY Dress Up Cabinet

DIY Dress Up Cabinet

This is a super simple Ikea hack that is perfect place to keep all of your kids dress up clothes. When we moved into our new house we had a few extra pieces of furniture we didn’t know what to do with and this Ikea cabinet was one of them. That’s when I came up with the idea to turn into into a mini dress up wardrobe. No tools are necessary and it can be disassembled when you no longer need it without damaging the cabinet. I used command strip hooks on the inside of the doors to hang things like bags and hats and decorative baskets were tucked underneath to store jewelry, crowns, glasses, etc.

Supplies

Instructions

  1. remove shelves from original cabinet
  2. place tension rod at the top
  3. hang all items on the tension rod
  4. hang command strips on inside of the doors (can even hang a small mirror if you have one)
  5. place decorative bins underneath or on top
